The Creative World of Cindy Harris

A place to collect and share all of the interesting things I do

The Pittsburgh Threshold Choir is my labor of love, the place where I spend most of my volunteer time.  The twenty or so women involved in the Threshold Choir sing like angels in little groups of two or three at the bedsides of people who are very ill or dying, mostly hospice patients.  It’s an amazing thing to do, and I cherish the women who have chosen to do it with me. We also have a sister group just south of Pittsburgh, the Family Hospice Threshold Singers, and a small group of men who call themselves the Pittsburgh Men’s Threshold Singers.  You can find a bit more about us on our website.  We are affiliated with the much larger Threshold Choir, a network of more than 150 similar groups in the US, Canada, and worldwide.

In 2016, the Pittsburgh Threshold Choir commissioned a suite of songs for singing at bedside from one of my mentors, Alice Parker. And of course we recorded it, and you can get the CD or digital download at CDBaby. And you can follow us on Spotify using this little widget.
